Коль скоро всё не ново, всё старо - Простой повтор минувших дней, часов - То как мы заблуждаемся порой, Всерьёз изобретая колесо!
Вернуться бы веков на пять назад, И, в древность погрузившись с головой, С восторгом обратить пытливый взгляд В одну из книг, воспевших образ твой!
И стало бы понятно в тот же миг, Как пращуры к тебе стремили взор: Они ли, мы – кто большего достиг? И поменялось что-то с давних пор?
Но знаю я - поэзия в те дни Хвалила лишь подобия твои!
